Who is the Son (Jesus)? Who is the Father?
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was
with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and
the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came
as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the
light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to
everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world
did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet
to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God- 13
children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came
from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 (John testified concerning him. He cried
out, saying, "This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was
before me.'") 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but
the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. (John 1)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn
the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not
believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. 19 This
is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20
Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done
in the sight of God. (John 3)

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14)
30 I and the Father are one." (John 10)
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him
all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;
all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that
in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20
and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his
blood, shed on the cross. (Colossians 1)

am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
(Revelations 1)
"‘Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,'[a]
who was, and is, and is to come."
And,
11 "You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have
their being." (Revelations 4)

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last
days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3
The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful
word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So
he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to them.
5 For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son;
today
I have become your Father"[a]?
Or again,
"I will be his Father,
and
he will be my Son"[b]?
6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
"Let all God's angels worship him."[c]
7 In speaking of the angels he says,
"He makes
his angels spirits,
and his servants flames of fire."[d]
8 But about the Son he says,
"Your throne,
O God, will last for ever and ever;
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set
you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy."[e]
10 He also says,
"In the beginning, Lord,
you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11
They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12 You will
roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end."[f]
13 To which of the angels did God ever say,
"Sit
at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet"[g]?
14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit
salvation? (Hebrews 1)
6 Who, being
in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 but made
himself nothing,
taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance
as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death-
even
death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the
name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in
heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to
the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2)

Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:
"Sacrifice and offering you did not
desire,
but a body you prepared for me;
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings
you were not pleased.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am-it is written about me in the
scroll-
I have come to do your will, O God.'" (Hebrews 10)
2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small
among the clans[a] of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose
origins[b] are from of old,
from ancient times.[c]" (Micah 5:2)
4 But when the time had fully come, God
sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5 to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights
of sons. (Galatians 4)
18 You have not
come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm; 19 to a trumpet
blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them, 20
because they could not bear what was commanded: "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned."[a] 21 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear."[b]
22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of
the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the
firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men
made perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word
than the blood of Abel.
25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they
did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us
from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Once more I will shake not
only the earth but also the heavens."[c] 27 The words "once more" indicate the removing of what can be shaken-that is, created things-so
that what cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom
that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our "God
is a consuming fire." (Hebrews 12)

Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked like an expanse, sparkling like ice, and awesome. 23
Under the expanse their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body. 24
When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty,[a] like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
25
Then there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads as they stood with lowered wings. 26 Above the
expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire,[b] and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. 27 I saw that from what appeared to be his
waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light
surrounded him. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.
This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the
voice of one speaking. (Ezekiel 1)
