The title of this site, "The Living One", is taken from Revelations 1:
12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down
to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14His head and his hairs
were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15And
his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his
countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17And when I saw him, I fell at
his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of
hell and of death. (Revelations 1)
It is written in the Bible, the
Scripture of truth, and we believe that God sent his beloved Son to save us from our sins; to help us, to free us and, primarily,
to complete the plan of God:
8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living
out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them,
and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, "Do
not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born
to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to
you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."
13 And suddenly there was
with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14
" Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"
(Luke 2)
He, Jesus, came to seal the plan of God and to restore all things. At this
time, the heavens must hold Him at the right hand of God (the Eternal Father Above), until every enemy (seen and unseen) to
the Father is undone. As this process continues, mankind will race toward a "Day" where Christ will take complete control
of this planet (in a way that is not common to man) and suddenly, at the proper time, return:
11And
I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness
he doth judge and make war.
12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were
many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13And he
was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14And
the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule
them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16And
he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelations 19)
Until that day, we stand as Ambassadors for Him and His Dominion. He still rules from "On High"
as Heaven's Supreme Battle Commander but God's perfect judgement has measured an "age of grace" for man.
We exhort men, women and children from all nations and every spoken language (Jew or Gentile, rich or poor, in chains or free)
to be saved by Him and to serve Him. We have all heard that God is love, and, indeed, He is. He is also, however,
the Righteous Judge that will decide the eternal ‘housing' of the living and the dead. The Bible is very
clear about this matter. We cannot really express, in words, how serious this matter is. It involves your very
soul, the essence of who you are; the part of you that is not seen and separates from the body when you die. How can
someone be saved? How can someone escape eternal damnation? Believe, with all of your being, that Jesus Christ
is the Son of God, the Saviour of all mankind, the fulfillment of the Jewish Law and the Prophets; the only Mediator between
God and man. Repent of all that you know is wrong (what God has made evident) and what the Bible says is sinful
or evil; confess your sins to God through Christ. Be willing to pay any price to serve God and the Lord (not men) will
see if you are sincere. Once a person has taken the first few steps into God's kingdom....a new journey,
full of joy and triumphs, tears, trials and tribulations has just begun.....God, in His own way, will start "speaking"
to that individual.
Almost 2,000 years ago, the Apostle Paul preached this message to a
group of philosophers and religious individuals:
22Then Paul stood in the midst
of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
23For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN
GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
24God that made
the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life,
and breath, and all things;
26And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to
dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far
from every one of us:
28For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain
also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29Forasmuch then as
we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art
and man's device.
30And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth
all men every where to repent:
31Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will
judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that
he hath raised him from the dead. (Acts 17)
The clock is ticking and time is
running out for man (Indeed, time is running out for all of us, as individuals, because we are all aging and will eventually
die; death is not the end-it's only the beginning of existence). No one knows when the Lord will descend but one
thing is certain: He will. As a final note, in the end, we will all realize that this planet,
Earth, was the last (spiritual) battlefield for a war that has been waged for ages.
