10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time
is at hand.11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy,
let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work
shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the
last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to
the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without
are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and
the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and
the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take
the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words
of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written
in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of
this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are
written in this book. (Revelations 22)
15 Who
is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by
him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And
he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head
of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And,
having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they
be things in earth, or things in heaven. (Colossians 1)
6 Who,
being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made
himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him
a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should
bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2)
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
(1 Timothy 2)
22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of
the dedication, and it was winter.
23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's
porch.
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost
thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered
them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My
sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them
eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My
Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up
stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed
you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered
him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If
he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say
ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But
if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand. (John 10)
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of
the passover.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after
the custom of the feast.
43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned,
the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
44 But
they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst
of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that
heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
48 And when they saw
him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have
sought thee sorrowing.
49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me?
wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
50 And they understood
not the saying which he spake unto them.
51 And he went down with them, and came
to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
52 And
Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. (Luke 2)
28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves
went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
29 Pilate
then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?
30 They
answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore
said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
32 That the saying
of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
33 Then
Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me:
what hast thou done?
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my
kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom
not from hence.
37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus
answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear
witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
38 Pilate
saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in
him no fault at all. (John 18)
5 And I saw in the right hand of
him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And
I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither
to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and
to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto
me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the
seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of
the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which
are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and
took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when
he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps,
and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung
a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed
us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And
hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And
I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them
was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with
a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory,
and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and
under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and
power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And
the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
